Scholarship Mission: To provide scholarship assistance to the students within the College of Mathematics and Science pursuing a degree in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics with a focus in Mathematics Education.
Value and Duration: The amount awarded and number of recipients for this scholarship will be determined by the amount available in the fund at the time of the selection.
Qualifications:
? Undergraduate student, Junior or Senior Status Only
? Mathematics Education major preparing to teach math in the public school system
? 3.0 GPA or above
? Demonstrate adequate progress towards completion of degree
Requirements: The recipient(s) of this scholarship must write a letter of thank you to Ms. Virginia Peters and Ms. Gerry Pinkston and turn it into the College of Mathematics and Science Dean?s Office, attention: Melody Hansen.

Enclosed are the College of Mathematics and Science scholarship application and information for the 2012-2013 academic year. The application is due no later than 5:00pm on February 15, 2012 in the Dean?s office, HOH 208. Only complete application packets will be eligible for review.
A complete application packet contains the following documents in this order:
1. Application Cover Sheet
2. Application Form
3. Current Transcripts (Official transcript from Transcript Kiosk in NUC, no web transcripts please)
4. Personal Statement (Instructions on Application Form)
5. Faculty Reference/Support Forms
Each scholarship application packet you submit for a department?s available scholarships must include copies of a completed application form, current transcript, and a personal statement. Faculty reference/support forms must be turned into the Dean?s office by the faculty members themselves. It is your job, however, to give them a
copy of the form.
Please visit the College of Mathematics and Science website during the semester to view and apply for scholarships that are established after timing of this printed copy.
