Today, I open my email to see the most adorable pictures of our client Squeaky the cat and hear that Aubrey got Squeaky to be very social with her. Normally Squeaky is hidden under the bed and no matter what doesn?t come out. I was so delighted and impressed I asked her what her secret was. She replied:
I don?t really have a secret.? If a cat seems shy or aggressive then I approach them slowly, not looking directly at them.? I get down to the ground to make myself smaller so I am never towering over them.? I put my hand next to the side of their face so they can smell if the like and and them sweep my hand along the side of their neck and down their back with medium pressure.? I am basically trying to let them know that I am in control of the situation so they don?t need to be nervous, and that I am not threatening to them by being slow and concise in my movements.? This usually works with most cats but not all. ? Aubrey

As a professional pet sitter and cat sitter in Scottsdale, it is very important that we always do our best to not only make sure that the pets are well taken care of but that their mental well being is happy as well. It is why we choose to do this job every day and it is because we have a knack for this sort of thing. I was shocked that Squeaky came out for Aubrey, but also equally impressed in the quality of pet sitters that work for Bella?s House & Pet Sitting.
Do you think the neighborhood kid, your friend, or relative would take the time to do all of this? They might?. but I guarantee our awesome staff always will!
